Washington....Staff members at an agency that oversees offshore drilling accepted tickets to sports events, lunches and other gifts from oil and gas companies and used government computers to view pornography, according to an Interior Department report alleging a culture of cronyism between regulators and the industry.

Warren Buffett....The American Dalai Lama?
I see many similarities between, the Tibetan spiritualist, the Dalai Lama, and Warren Buffett, an American entrepreneur/philanthropist.
Simply stated, for me... a definition of spiritual, is the feeling or ability to see a picture of life at its highest levels... I have great respect towards those who not only are able to see it... but who also take concrete steps to do something about it.....with that knowledge and ability. The Dalai Lama embodies this spirituality...and desire...and he teaches these truths all over the world... and perhaps, one day, back in his homeland.
Warren Buffett, deserves similar recognition, for taking his business genius, and a significant portion of his wealth and giving it back... in ways that few people in history have done...He clearly sees the link between creativity and reinvestment, which will not only help our America for years to come....but will have major influence on making the world a better place because of it.
Here’s an example...
I have been particularly happy to see more public information that Warren Buffett, through one of his corporate entities, has invested in/purchased one of the major railroads in America.
The railroad is America’s circulatory system, transporting goods around our country just like our veins and arteries sustain our lives.
The railroads help build America and this huge re-investment bodes very well for our country...Because I firmly believe that reinvesting in our infrastructure will reconstitute the formula for prosperity and job creation moving forward... which we have silently eroded over the past 50 years.
While this is a very powerful business move.....this power in the wrong hands, could be disastrous...but in the right hands, this can be a great move to bring our priorities back in line. I am glad that an American company, through Warren Buffett’s control and leadership, took this brilliant step...as opposed to a foreign interest making this investment.
This move has demonstrated his desire to give back in ways to significantly affect positive change in transportation, energy conservation, and hopefully future job creation.. .hopefully....others, both public and private will get “all aboard” and help realign business with purpose..a greater purpose. a more spiritual link that needs to be taken by those who are more able to see the bigger picture for us...when we cant... and here’s the theme song.....origin unknown.
